Chandani Post Adoption Counseling
Maya Rogers-Bursen, LMHC, ATR
Welcome to CHANDANI! (Chan-Daa-Nee)
My name is Maya and I am a transracial, international adoptee, adopted from India when I was six months old. One of the few things I know about my "Chapter One" is that my birth mother named me Chandani. In Hindi, Chandani means "Moonlight". The moon is my place, the place I go to say hello to my birth family. It's the one thing I know we both see. Naming my practice Chandani is in honor of all the mothers in my life, and all the adoptees who have shared the moon with me.
Adoption trauma is rooted in loss and it's a lifelong journey.
My mission is to support adoptees and families within the adoption constellation as they navigate the complexities of their post adoption journey.
